The Bod Squad was created from my own personal experiences and struggles as a mum, trying to balance that family/work/life juggle that life throws at us. Not only was finding that balance an already bumpy road to travel down, the expectations of what a new mum should look like 6 hours postpartum (maybe 6 hours is a slight exaggeration?) that social media portrayed was doing my head in…

Here’s a little about me:

Just a few years ago…. ok, ok… Around about 8 years ago now, before having my own kids, I lived an extremely unhealthy lifestyle. I’d played soccer since I was 6 years old, (yeah girl, you are active and healthy!) but as I grew older, I became so unhealthy on the inside (who wants to do a maccas run?). My days nutrition consisted of cigarettes, redbull and fast-food chains on a rotating train! Working as an accountant, 80% of my day was spent sitting, I was only active when it was time for soccer training and game days and I would always end up with whatever cold, flu or lurgy was being passed around at the time.

In 2010, after the birth of my daughter, I was so depressed with how I looked and how I felt. I just wanted to be “skinny” and fit back into my “skinny jeans”. I wanted “skinny” and I wanted it NOW because social media & magazines said I could. I tried so many “quick fixes”; shakes, pills, 500-calories-a-day diet with super drops, starving myself, etc etc… Some of them worked, in the short term. None of these “diets” actually showed me how to change my health and lifestyle for long term sustainable results. 

In 2014, after the birth of my 2nd child, I decided I needed to do something for myself. For my kids. It was then I realised my passion for health and fitness and my whole mindset changed. I started exercising, making healthier choices with my food and holy shit I lost weight and felt amazing! I stopped using my kids as excuses NOT to exercise and they quickly became my reasons to exercise. After seeing how easy and achievable this was, especially with kids, I wanted to share this with as many other mummas I could.

Fast forward to today and here WE are… The Bod Squad! We don’t use the words “skinny” or “fat”. We are all about Healthy, Happy & Strong. We understand how difficult it can be. We understand how intimidating it is to start. We understand the pain, the discomfort, and the lack of motivation. I know I’ve certainly been there…. But I am where I am today because of determination.

We have helped so many mums like yourself transform their lives and reach their goals. Come and be apart of our Squad! We promise you that we will be your support. We will educate you, we will motivate you and we will push you through your weakest moments to give you strength. All we ask is for you to COMMIT. Commit to yourself. Commit to your kids.
